It is with great pride that I may announce the partnership of the College for Technical Education, Kroger at Leestown Road and Military MIssions. Food and Hospitality Students, Nick Taylor and Mark Trimble have worked together “Reaching Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” with Military Missions Organization. Military Missions serves our men and women in uniform throughout the world by sending much needed comforts from home to those serving. Mark and Nick will be setting up a Red and Blue Competition at the Leestown Road Kroger on Thursday June 1st, 11AM-2PM. For a $5.00 donation, you will be placing your vote with the Red Team’s Bourbon Cowboy Sandwich or the Blue Team’s - Island Swine ‘Mon Sandwich. Kroger is donating to the event by allowing the College For Technical Education’s Food and Hospitality Professional program to set up on their site, donating the rolls and tents. All proceeds will benefit the Military Missions Organization. “I just can’t tell you how proud it makes me to see these students giving back and showing their talents”, says Robin Feeney, Lead instructor of the Food and Hospitality Program. She adds, “These two gentlemen truly will be great team leaders to the other students in the class. I’m looking forward to the competition.” Thanks for giving back, Mark and Nick!
