On August 8, 2019 Charles “Chip” Breeze earned the esteemed honor of being named Kentucky’s Instructor of the year by the Kentucky Association of Career Colleges and Schools (KACCS), at the annual conference in Lousiville, KY. Chip began with CTE as an instructor of Building Trades more than 10 years ago. His dedication and the impact that he has had on the student lives and the fellow employees lives, is and always has been immeasurable.

Chip is recognized as the man and the mentor that his Building Trades students leaned on, confide in and generally look up to in order to help them make a difference in their own lives.

Throughout the years, Chip has been the mentor to many students, including students who may have struggled with recovery of drug and alcohol addition and has encouraged others in overcoming other life- gets -in -the -way barriers that a student’s past may have posed. Chip is recognized as being a counselor and mentor and has been described as being “the bright light in the lives of people who show a desire to change their own lives and have strong desires to be successful.” Chip never backs down from a challenge to get his students to seek pathways to a new career and a new life.

“Chip isn’t just a teacher, he is a strong force in the lives of not only the students, but in their families.” Says Brenda Evans, CTE College Director. “I will never be able to thank Chip enough for the hundreds of lives he has changed.”
