According to Forbes, student tuition loan debt has risen to $1.3 trillion, surpassing credit card debt in the U.S. To help ease this burden, College for Technical (CTE) announced a 25% - 30% decrease in tuition across all programs. “Education beyond high school has become a real challenge in the past 10 years,” said Brenda Evans, CTE College Director. “It’s important that we do what we can to encourage people in Central Kentucky to move forward in their education and do it affordably.”

As a part of Employment Solutions, Inc., CTE is a non-profit technical college with campuses in Lexington and Winchester. The college has been training people in the community for over 20 years, specializing in trade program education, which can be obtained in less than a year. The College is nationally accredited and offers programs in Building Trades, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, Early Childhood Education and Cosmetology. Students who wish to attend the school may be eligible for Federal Financial Aid.

“We want to ensure that we are doing what is right for the students and giving them the opportunity to attend an institution of higher education”, explained Rick Christman, CEO of Employment Solutions, Inc. “The trades are in high demand throughout the United States and we would like to make taking that step a little easier. With student debt now being one of the biggest challenges to life after college, it was time to take a ‘big picture’ approach to continuing education and future success.”
